Knot & Figure
Knot & Figure was born out of a love for the life all around us, from the trees lining our streets to the wood embedded in our architecture and all of the plants that sustain ecosystems and communities alike. My work aims to showcase the complexity and beauty of these often-overlooked surroundings.
Each handmade item is inherently unique and highlights the natural beauty of its subjects with reminders of the material's original form, like the knots where a tree once sprouted a new branch, or the intricate grain patterns and figure formed by its annual growth.
With an emphasis on responsible environmental stewardship, I prioritize the use of sustainably sourced materials and wholesome practices. In this world of ubiquitous mass production and disposable items, I’m committed to quality and intentionality in fabrication, for lasting, meaningful products.
